《谁偷走了美国梦》（五,六,七章）翻译报告

　　本文是一篇翻译项目报告,原文为赫德里克史密斯所著的《谁偷走了美国梦》（Who Stole the American Dream?）中的第五,六,七章,主要介绍美国梦如何逐渐变得遥不可及。书中将中产阶级和企业管理者的薪资进行对比,剖析了中产阶级的美国梦一步一步被打碎。早前的财富共享被股东利益所取代,首席执行官们成了梦想破碎的助推器,他们空降到企业,进行大刀阔斧的裁员,缩减生产成本。在过去的三十年中,拥有稳定工作的人成为了临时工,中产阶级成了新一代的穷人,社会阶层之间的流动性在降低。这就意味着生活在低层的人们很难跨越贫困而走入上层社会。企业应该承担的社会责任被迫转移到了员工身上,越来越多的中产阶级陷入了信用卡呆账中,美国梦似乎已经无法实现。书中对以上的诸多问题进行了详细阐述。该报告分为四个部分,第一部分为原文和译文。第二部分主要介绍该书的背景信息,包括作者以及选文的相关内容,翻译准备工作,在此过程中遇到的困难并且结合译文中的例子阐述翻译过程中使用的翻译理论和翻译策略,在该项目中主要使用了目的论为理论支撑。最后总结本次翻译项目的经验教训和尚未解决的问题。
