对外直接投资促进了中国自主创新吗——基于金融发展视角的实证研究

【摘要】：本文系统梳理了金融发展视角下对外直接投资(OFDI)对自主创新的影响机理,并利用2004—2014年中国省际面板数据,采用普通面板回归方法,实证研究了OFDI对中国自主创新的影响及其区域差异。研究发现,现阶段OFDI对中国自主创新产生了显著的负效应,且具有明显的区域异质性。在此基础上,构建以金融发展为门槛变量的门槛模型进一步检验了OFDI影响中国自主创新的门槛特征。门槛回归结果表明,OFDI对中国自主创新的影响显著存在基于金融发展的双门槛效应,即当区域金融发展水平较低时,OFDI对自主创新产生负向作用;当区域金融发展水平提升到临界门槛值后,OFDI对自主创新产生正效应;当区域金融发展水平跨越更高门槛值后,这种正效应更加凸显。
[Abstract]:This paper systematically combs the influence mechanism of OFDI (foreign direct investment) on independent innovation from the perspective of financial development, and uses the data of China provincial panel from 2004-2014 to adopt the ordinary panel regression method. This paper empirically studies the impact of OFDI on independent innovation in China and its regional differences. It is found that OFDI has a significant negative effect on independent innovation in China at present and has obvious regional heterogeneity. The threshold model with financial development as the threshold variable further tests the threshold characteristics of OFDI influencing China's independent innovation. The threshold regression results show that there are significant double-threshold effects based on financial development. That is, when the level of regional financial development is low, OFDI has a negative effect on independent innovation; when the level of regional financial development reaches the critical threshold, OFDI has a positive effect on independent innovation; when the level of regional financial development exceeds the higher threshold, This positive effect is even more prominent.
