【摘要】:将光纤传感技术应用于液体折射率测量已成为近年来光纤传感应用的一个热点。光纤折射率传感探头可设计为光纤光栅、F-P腔、多模、微纳光纤等结构,具有体积小、重量轻、灵敏度高、抗电磁干扰、抗高温高压以及耐腐蚀等特点,在生物、医药、食品等领域展现出诱人的发展前景。本文以熊猫型保偏光纤为研究对象,通过选择性腐蚀方法制备了一种应力区缺失光纤结构,获得了偏振相关的倏逝场,并利用保偏光纤正交偏振模干涉技术对这种应力区缺失光纤结构的折射率传感特性进行研究。论文所开展的主要工作有:总结分析了当前用于液体折射率测量的典型光纤传感技术,指出将光纤技术应用于液体折射率测量的意义及优势;理论研究了基于光纤倏逝场的折射率传感原理,分析了保偏光纤传输特性,构建了一种熊猫型保偏光纤应力区缺失结构并分析了其倏逝场特性以及关键光学参量的测试方法。结合腐蚀工艺,利用不同材料被腐蚀时速度上的差异实现对熊猫型保偏光纤选择性腐蚀;实验研究了熊猫型保偏光纤应力区缺失结构的制备方法,以及应力区缺失过程中熊猫型保偏光纤双折射的变化;基于保偏光纤正交偏振模干涉理论,研究了外界折射率、温度变化时对这种结构光学传输特性的影响。研究结果表明,这种应力区缺失光纤结构具有明显的形状双折射特性,是一种性能较好的折射率传感探头,具有很高的传感灵敏度,且制备过程简单、成本低,在液体折射率传感领域有极高的应用潜力。
[Abstract]:The application of optical fiber sensing technology in liquid refractive index measurement has become a hot spot in recent years. The fiber refractive index sensor can be designed as fiber grating F-P cavity, multi-mode, micro-nano fiber and other structures. With small size, light weight, high sensitivity, resistance to electromagnetic interference, high temperature and high pressure, corrosion resistance and so on, in biology, medicine. In this paper, panda type polarization maintaining fiber is taken as the research object, a kind of missing fiber structure in stress region is prepared by selective etching method, and polarization dependent evanescent field is obtained. The refractive index sensing characteristics of this stress region missing fiber structure are studied by polarization maintaining fiber orthogonal polarization mode interferometry. The main work of this paper is as follows:. The typical optical fiber sensing techniques used in liquid refractive index measurement are summarized and analyzed. The significance and advantages of using fiber technology in liquid refractive index measurement are pointed out. The principle of refractive index sensing based on evanescent field of optical fiber is studied theoretically, and the transmission characteristics of polarization maintaining fiber are analyzed. A missing structure in stress region of panda type polarization maintaining fiber was constructed and its evanescent field characteristics and key optical parameters were analyzed. The selective corrosion of panda type polarization maintaining fiber is realized by using the difference of speed when different materials are corroded. The fabrication method of the missing structure of the stress region of panda type polarization maintaining fiber and the change of birefringence of the panda type polarization maintaining fiber during the process of the loss of the stress region are studied experimentally. Based on the polarization-maintaining fiber orthogonal polarization mode interferometry, the effects of external refractive index and temperature on the optical transmission characteristics of this structure are studied. This kind of missing fiber structure has obvious shape birefringence characteristic, it is a kind of refractive index sensor with better performance, and has high sensitivity, simple preparation process and low cost. It has high application potential in the field of liquid refractive index sensing.
