5-bit无源移相器及单刀双掷开关的分析与设计

【摘要】:近几年来,随着无线通信系统的不断发展和工艺制造水平的飞速进步,基于无线通信技术实现的一系列应用(例如蜂窝电话、蓝牙、WiFi、GPS等)在人们的日常生活中扮演着越来越重要的角色,硅基半导体工艺尤其是CMOS工艺因其具有易集成、低成本、低功耗、高性能等特点符合目前无线通信发展的趋势,得到了广泛的应用。移相器是相控阵系统、Serdes以及一些基于相位调制的收发机中极为重要的模块,单刀双掷开关在非全双工收发机中是必不可少的部分。目前,人们对于无线通信系统不断提出新的要求,因此设计尺寸小、性能优、可靠性好的移相器及开关具有很强的实践价值与意义。 本课题提出了5-bit无源移相器及非对称单刀双掷开关。对于移相器从微波原理通过公式推导电路原理及各性能指标,用定性与定量两种方法分析如何提高性能。对于开关了解电路原理、用途,理论分析每一项指标由哪些因素决定,对比不同结构的利弊。之后用仿真验证推导结果,完成电路图和版图设计,最终完成流片和对芯片的测试工作。 本文系统论述了基于CMOS工艺的无源移相器和单刀双掷开关的理论与实现,,并深入浅出的研究和讨论了设计过程中的许多关键技术。 本文基于TSMC90nm CMOS工艺,针对系统整体要求,选择移相精度为5-bit,没有功耗的无源反射型结构;非对称结构单刀双掷开关作为移相器和开关最终的设计方案。详细介绍了两个课题中用到的无源器件理论分析、设计过程及仿真验证。本次设计中电路及版图的设计与仿真使用Cadence公司的Virtuoso工具中的Schematic/LayoutEditor和Analog Design Environment。无源器件的仿真使用Ansoft HFSS及Sonnet。
[Abstract]:In recent years, with the continuous development of wireless communication system and the rapid progress of process manufacturing, a series of applications (such as cellular telephone) based on wireless communication technology have been implemented. Bluetooth WiFi GPS) plays a more and more important role in people's daily life. Silicon based semiconductor process, especially CMOS process, has the characteristics of easy integration, low cost, low power consumption, high performance and so on. Phase shifter is a very important module in phased array system and some transceivers based on phase modulation. Single pole double throw switch is an essential part of non-full-duplex transceiver. New requirements have been put forward for wireless communication systems, so the design of phase shifters and switches with small size, excellent performance and good reliability has strong practical value and significance. In this paper, a 5-bit passive phase shifter and an asymmetric single-pole double-throw switch are proposed. Qualitative and quantitative methods are used to analyze how to improve performance. For the switch to understand the circuit principle, use, theoretical analysis of each index is determined by what factors, compare the advantages and disadvantages of different structures. Complete circuit diagram and layout design, the final completion of the chip and chip testing work. In this paper, the theory and implementation of passive phase shifter and single pole double throw switch based on CMOS technology are systematically discussed, and many key technologies in the design process are discussed. In this paper, based on TSMC90nm CMOS technology, a passive reflection structure with phase shift accuracy of 5-bit and no power consumption is selected according to the overall requirements of the system. Asymmetric single-pole double-throw switch is the final design scheme of phase shifter and switch. The theoretical analysis of passive devices used in the two topics is introduced in detail. The circuit and layout of this design are designed and simulated using Schematic/LayoutEditor and Analog Design Environment in Virtuoso tools of Cadence Company, and Ansoft HFSS and Sonnet are used in the simulation of passive devices.
