TopMetal2Minus芯片中单引脚温度传感器的设计

【摘要】:TopMetal2Minus是我校PLAC实验室继TopMetall之后的又一款独立自主研发的像素探测器芯片,其基本原理与TopMetall相同,利用裸露在空气中的顶层金属Topmetal搜集电荷,并将搜集到的电荷转换成电压信号读出。由于TopMetall芯片内没有设计温度测量模块,对芯片进行测试时,无法实时检测芯片内部温度。针对这一不足之处,同时从芯片资源节约的角度考虑,设计TopMetal2Minus芯片时,加入单引脚温度传感器。本文首先介绍了温度传感器的发展及国内外研究状况,然后从理论上分析了温度传感器的工作原理,并提出了基于TopMetal2Minus芯片的温度传感器的性能指标参数。重点介绍了单引脚温度传感器子模块的设计,包括电源开关控制电路,温度检测电路,斜坡发生器、电压比较器以及偏置电路的设计。最后结合单引脚温度传感器的时序仿真结果再次阐述该电路的工作原理。该温度传感器基于XFAB 0.35μm CMOS工艺设计,仅消耗TopMetal2Minus芯片的一个输入/输出引脚,以脉宽形式输出,脉宽宽度携带温度信息,版图面积0.0024mm2。提取寄生参数进行后仿真,温度测量精度0.5℃,室温下,3.3V电源供电时,动态功耗210μW、静态功耗180pW。性能指标均能满足TopMetal2Minus芯片的需求。
[Abstract]:TopMetal2Minus is another independently developed pixel detector chip after TopMetall in our school's PLAC laboratory. Its basic principle is the same as that of TopMetall, which uses the top metal Topmetal exposed in the air to collect electric charges. The charge collected is converted into voltage signal and read out. Because there is no temperature measurement module in the TopMetall chip, the internal temperature can not be detected in real time when the chip is tested. In view of this shortcoming and considering the resource saving of the chip, a single pin temperature sensor is added to the design of the TopMetal2Minus chip. In this paper, the development of temperature sensor and the research situation at home and abroad are introduced, then the working principle of temperature sensor is analyzed theoretically, and the performance index parameters of temperature sensor based on TopMetal2Minus chip are put forward. The design of one-pin temperature sensor sub-module, including power switch control circuit, temperature detection circuit, slope generator, voltage comparator and bias circuit, is introduced in detail. Finally, the working principle of the circuit is explained by the simulation results of the single pin temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is designed on the basis of XFAB 0.35 渭 m CMOS process, consumes only one input / output pin of TopMetal2Minus chip, outputs in the form of pulse width, carries temperature information in pulse width, and has a layout area of 0.0024 mm 2.
