  教育一般被认为对快速经济增长至关重要,如果我们希望通过减少勉强并为人们提供充分参与经济和社会发展所需的技能来提高穷人的生产力,那么这一点至关重要。因此,南苏丹在人口、社会需求和全球化等方面提供不同的教育项目是非常重要的。南苏丹高等教育部(SSMoHE)指出,自2011年独立以来,已经作出了许多努力来加强教育政策,但由于大多数教育政策和发展步骤只是涉及通识教育,而不是技能教育,致使没有得到所期望的发展。这本书是以满足具有中等教育水平的汽车技术人员以及相关领域的工程类学生的需求而设计的。汽车构造作为南苏丹的一门特殊教学课程,只在不到5%的拥有机械师培训项目的技术机构中开设。因此,很少有汽车技师或技术人员接触到这种相关技术。公司、非政府组织、政府机构非常需要受过汽车技工培训的技术人员。但是,如果汽车技术人员也了解这个商业相关领域,他们将会随需而变,对他们的公司和他们的客户更有价值,从而改善该国的生活水平。
