【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译项目报告,翻译源本为《面向生活与工作的教育:培养21世纪可迁移的知识与技能》(Education for Life and Work:Developing Transferable Knowledge and Skills in the 21st)的第四部分节选。该书于2012年由美国国家研究理事会(NRC)发表,并由詹姆斯·佩莱格里诺(James Pellegrino)和玛格利特·希尔顿(Margaret Hilton)担任主编。本书从面向未来社会生活与工作的视角重新审视了教育目的与前景,认为当今世界需要具有核心价值、拥有坚实的认知结构和高阶思维能力、会利用已有所学解决新问题、并善于进行反思性思考的人。该翻译报告共有五个章节,第一章给出翻译项目报告的基本信息,包括其背景、目的、意义和结构。第二章为原作介绍,包括原著作者、主要内容、文本类型和语言特征。第三章给出搜索引擎和翻译的关系,并浅谈其对翻译的辅助作用。第四章是整篇论文的重中之重,首先列出利用搜索引擎进行词语翻译的两大方法,然后提出相关背景知识对于翻译的裨益,并举例分析。最后一章总结了翻译过程中的经验和教训,并提出该报告中尚待解决的翻译问题。
