[Abstract]:Just 40 years ago, Stephen Hawking proposed a challenge to standard quantum physics: black holes can destroy information. This creates a paradox called black hole information puzzles. New research by Malcom Perry, his Cambridge colleague, and Andrew Strominger at Harvard University suggests that some of the premises of this paradox may be wrong.
