脉冲星强单个脉冲的观测研究

【摘要】:本文介绍了作者在攻读硕士学位期间的研究工作,包括脉冲星单脉冲搜寻技术和对脉冲星PSR J0034-0721单个脉冲的观测研究。 本文第二章叙述了关于脉冲星观测方法的研究。选择一个适当的脉冲星观测技术对观测新的脉冲星或观测已知的脉冲星是至关重要的。在这一章里主要讲述了对脉冲星进行观测和对观测系统进行调节时必须考虑的某些重要因素。首先解释了在观测中影响射电脉冲强度,形状和宽度的各种参量;然后提出了单脉冲搜索的步骤。 在本文第三章给出了利用南山站25米射电望远镜进行脉冲星PSR J0034-0721强脉冲观测的研究内容。在2009年11月19日到2010年1月13日之间,运用南山25m射电望远对脉冲星PSR J0034-0721进行了观测,在4次观测中一共收集了8小时的原始数据。利用单脉冲搜寻方法,从8小时的观测数据中一共探测到了信噪比(S/N)大于5的353个强单个脉冲。探测到的353个强单个脉冲的信噪比从5到10.5,峰值流量密度超过平均脉冲轮廓的17倍到39倍,最强信号的峰值流量达到9.43Jy。探测到的强脉冲累积分布具有幂律分布,幂指数为α=4.4±0.5。这些探测到的强脉冲半高全宽(W50)从1.5 ms到13.1 ms,平均约为6.5 ms。在1.54 GHz,得到的平均脉冲轮廓只显示了一个成分,探测到的强脉冲分别来自脉冲辐射窗口中的两个相位。绝大数强脉冲集中分布在平均轮廓峰值相位附近的区域内,但探测到十几个信噪比大于6的强脉冲分布在平均轮廓前边沿相位处,离平均脉冲轮廓峰值大概是23毫秒到40毫秒。这可能表明脉冲星PSR J0034-0721的脉冲发射区可能有两个。 在1.54 GHz观测频率上探测到的强脉冲宽度,辐射能量表明脉冲星PSR J0034-072上探测到的强脉冲可能是一种特殊的强脉冲,这些强脉冲有可能区别于这个脉冲星发射的正常脉冲和其他脉冲星发射的典型巨脉冲。
[Abstract]:This paper introduces the research work of the author during his master's degree, including pulsar monopulse search technology and the observation of pulsar PSR J0034-0721 single pulse.
The second chapter introduces the research of pulsar observation method. Choose a star observation technology pulse on new pulsar observation or observation known proper pulsar is essential. In this chapter mainly describes some important factors must be considered for observation and adjustment of the pulsar observation system when first explain the influence of radio pulse intensity in the measurement of various parameters, the width and shape; and then put forward the steps of single pulse search.
For the pulsar PSR J0034-0721 strong pulse research content observed in the third chapter of this paper gives the Nanshan station 25 meter radio telescope. From November 19, 2009 to January 13, 2010, using the 25m Radio Telescope in Nanshan were observed on the pulsar PSR J0034-0721, a collection of original data in the 4 8 hours of observation altogether. By using single pulse search method from the observation data, in a total of 8 hours to detect the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 353 strong single pulse is greater than 5. The detected 353 strong single pulse signal-to-noise ratio from 5 to 10.5, the peak flow density exceeds the average pulse profile is 17 to 39 times, the peak flow of the strongest signal to detect 9.43Jy. strong pulse cumulative distribution has a power-law distribution, the exponent is a =4.4 + 0.5. the detected pulse FWHM (W50) from 1.5 ms to 13.1 MS, the average is about 6.5 Ms. at 1.54 GHz, the The average pulse profile shows only one component, the detected strong pulse two phase respectively from pulse radiation window. Most strong pulse concentrates in the vicinity of average peak phase profile in the region, but to detect ten SNR greater than 6 strong pulse distribution with the mean contour edge phase at the peak from the average pulse profile is about 23 milliseconds to 40 milliseconds. This may indicate that the pulse emitter pulsar PSR J0034-0721 may have two.
In 1.54 GHz observation frequency detected strong pulse width, radiation energy shows that the pulsar PSR J0034-072 detected the strong pulse may be a special strong pulse, the strong pulse may be distinguished from that of the normal pulsar pulse and other pulsar emission typical giant pulse.
