一个用户友好的SDWN实验平台的设计与实现

【摘要】:软件定义无线网络(Software-Defined Wireless Networking,简称 SDWN)是一种新的无线网络架构,它将软件定义网络(Software-Defined Networking,简称SDN)的思想应用于无线网络中,将无线网络的控制平面与数据平面解耦,并开放可编程接口,以简化无线网络的管理。在研究SDWN的技术和应用时,研究者需要不断部署、运行、测试以及改进所提出的协议、算法和应用,此时一个支持SDWN的实验平台就显得尤为重要。目前只有很少几个模拟平台和规模受限的仿真平台对SDWN实验提供支持,所以本文研究的主要目标是为研究者提供一个用户友好和可扩展的SDWN实验仿真平台。本文通过研究国内外网络测床以及SDWN相关实验平台的最新研究成果,设计并实现了一个SDWN仿真实验平台。首先,通过分析已有实验平台,得出性能瓶颈所在;其次,在网络测床的基础上对已有实验平台进行了跨多台主机的扩展;再次,在该实验平台中实现了基础环境自动化配置,添加了图形化拓扑脚本生成工具,引入了实验分析工具并在SDWN实验中加以应用。这些用户友好化的设计降低了实验用户进行软硬件配置的复杂度,使得用户不再需要熟悉多种编程语言,并且能更方便地分析实验结果;最后,从实验者的角度定义了 SDWN实验的完整工作流程。此外,本文还设计并完成了多个有针对性的实验来评估该SDWN实验平台,包括评估平台的功能和性能,可能支持的实验类型,以及无线网络中特有的场景等。实验结果表明,本实验平台可以正确、有效地仿真SDWN实验,并且具有良好的性能。
[Abstract]:Software defined Wireless Network (SDWN) is a new wireless network architecture. It applies the idea of software definition network defined network to wireless network, decoupling the control plane and data plane of wireless network. And open a programmable interface to simplify the management of wireless networks. When studying the technology and application of SDWN, researchers need to deploy, run, test and improve the proposed protocols, algorithms and applications. In this case, an experimental platform supporting SDWN is particularly important. At present, only a few simulation platforms and limited scale simulation platforms support SDWN experiments, so the main goal of this paper is to provide a user-friendly and scalable SDWN experimental simulation platform for researchers. In this paper, a SDWN simulation experiment platform is designed and implemented by studying the latest research results of the network test bed and the SDWN related experimental platform at home and abroad. First of all, through the analysis of the existing experimental platform, the performance bottleneck is obtained. Secondly, the existing experimental platform is extended across multiple hosts on the basis of the network test bed. Thirdly, the automatic configuration of the basic environment is realized in the experimental platform. The graphical topology script generation tool is added, and the experimental analysis tool is introduced and applied in SDWN experiment. These user-friendly designs reduce the complexity of hardware and software configuration for experimental users, so that users no longer need to be familiar with various programming languages, and can more easily analyze the experimental results. The complete workflow of SDWN experiment is defined from the point of view of the experimenter. In addition, this paper also designed and completed several targeted experiments to evaluate the SDWN experimental platform, including the function and performance of the platform, possible types of experiments, as well as the unique scenarios in wireless networks. The experimental results show that the platform can simulate SDWN experiment correctly and effectively, and has good performance.
