Android智能手机屏幕能耗模型优化及应用技术研究

【摘要】:近年来,随着智能手机相关硬件和软件技术的飞速发展,智能手机应用的功能越来越丰富,其能耗需求也越来越大,有限的电池容量已经成为智能手机生产商和用户所面临的主要问题之一。虽然统计智能手机系统或其应用能耗相关的研究工作层出不穷,但它们大多都基于手机系统本身建立的硬件能耗模型,因此,这些硬件能耗模型的准确性对这些研究工作的准确性有着重要影响。作为全球最流行的智能手机操作系统之一,Android系统会统计上一次充满电后手机各硬件的能耗情况,包括屏幕。相关研究表明,屏幕已经成为智能手机能耗的主要来源之一。然而,Android系统的屏幕能耗模型存在缺陷,该模型认为屏幕能耗速率仅与屏幕的亮度有关,而在新型的OLED屏幕中,屏幕能耗速率还与屏幕所显示的内容有关。Android系统的屏幕能耗模型的准确性已经无法保证。因此,本文提出了一种优化的屏幕能耗模型,并在优化模型的基础上提出了两种降低屏幕能耗的方法。具体而言,本文工作主要包括:1.建立屏幕能耗速率与屏幕所显示的内容之间的回归关系模型,在此基础上提出一种优化的屏幕能耗模型——OLED屏幕能耗模型,该模型不仅考虑屏幕亮度,还考虑屏幕所显示的内容。2.在Android系统框架中给出OLED屏幕能耗模型的具体实现,设计并进行实验从多个角度验证该模型的准确性,同时评估该模型的计算开销。3.提出两种降低屏幕能耗的方法——翻转屏幕内容颜色和调整屏幕配色方案,并在Android系统框架中给出这两种方案的具体实现,同时进行实验评估其实际效果。
[Abstract]:In recent years, with the rapid development of hardware and software technology related to smart phones, the functions of smart phone applications are becoming more and more abundant, and the demand for energy consumption is also increasing. Limited battery capacity has become one of the major problems for smartphone makers and users. Although the research work related to the energy consumption of smart phone system or its application is endless, most of them are based on the hardware energy consumption model established by the mobile phone system itself, so, The accuracy of these hardware energy consumption models has an important impact on the accuracy of these research work. As one of the world's most popular smartphone operating systems, the Android system will count the last full charge of the phone's hardware energy consumption, including the screen. Related research shows that screen has become one of the main sources of smart phone energy consumption. However, the screen energy consumption model of the Android system is flawed, which assumes that the screen energy consumption rate is only related to the brightness of the screen, while in the new OLED screen, The screen energy consumption rate is also related to the content displayed on the screen. The accuracy of the screen energy consumption model of the Android system is no longer guaranteed. Therefore, an optimized screen energy consumption model is proposed, and two methods to reduce the screen energy consumption are proposed on the basis of the optimized model. Specifically, this paper mainly includes: 1. A regression model between screen energy consumption rate and screen display is established, and an optimized screen energy consumption model, OLED screen energy consumption model, is proposed based on this model, which not only takes into account screen luminance, but also provides an optimal screen energy consumption model. Also consider what is displayed on the screen. 2. The realization of OLED screen energy consumption model is given in the framework of Android system. Experiments are carried out to verify the accuracy of the model, and the computational overhead of the model is evaluated at the same time. Two methods to reduce the energy consumption of the screen are proposed, which are to flip the color of the screen content and adjust the color matching of the screen. The realization of the two schemes is given in the framework of the Android system, and the actual results are evaluated by experiments at the same time.
