河州回族脚户文化

【摘要】:本文从河州回族脚户产生、发展的背景出发,运用举例、说明、比较的方法,围绕脚户的发展变迁历程、脚户的行路生活、脚户的商业活动、脚户的文化信仰,联系西北的交通变迁、河州地区的商业特色、脚户与其他民族之间交互融合、和衷共济的密切关系,对河州回族脚户这一特定的社会群体进行了全方位的描述和比较研究,以期挖掘出蕴含其中的深刻文化内涵。 首先,本文介绍了河州回族脚户及其生长的环境。“脚户”是我国西北地区旧时的一个行当,“脚户”一词有广义和狭义之分:广义的“脚户”泛指那些以驮队的形式从事物资贩运的人,狭义的“脚户”则专指驮队中从事各种体力劳动的普通人员。河州,即今临夏回族自治州,是一个多民族共同居住的地区。其中,又以回族的数量为最多,是西北地区回族的中心聚居地之一。河州人素来,“善商贾”。随着该地区经济尤其是商业的发展,对流通领域的需要也日益提高。然而河州四面环山,道路崎岖,交通甚为不便。当地的货物运输,在现代化的交通工具没有普及的年代,受当时技术条件的制约,主要依靠畜力驮运。以此为契机,运输行业的“脚户”应时而生,赶马贩运成为当地居民谋生的手段之一。他们有的几家联合揽货驮运,有的一家一户就能组成大帮驮运队,南来北往,运送物资。在这一历史进程中,,驮队作为当时当地重要的运输工具,在经济文化交流过程中起到了至关重要的作用。而驾驭指挥驮队往来于戈壁荒漠、崇山峻岭的脚户们同样功不可没。 其次,本文通过田野调查,对河州回族脚户的生活进行了重现。脚户们的生活辛苦而富有智慧,在长期的贩运生活中,他们积累了很多宝贵的经验,形成了许多独特文化。最为突出的是脚户在长途贩运过程中,对驮队的组织、养护等方面的制度习俗,这是脚户文化中最主要的构成部分。脚户特殊的职业、身份与特殊的生活方式决定其饮食、服饰也别具特色。另外,脚户常年生活在外,流动的生活方式,使他们的家庭生活很不稳定,而野外生活的艰辛和单调又磨练出他们苦中作乐的种种生活态度。脚户的感情生活很丰富,花儿是他们抒发
