再议《绣像小说》的停刊时间——读《申报》刊《绣像小说》广告札记

【摘要】：《绣像小说》的停刊时间曾有定论。上世纪80年代,张纯从《绣像小说》所刊时调歌曲、小说与史实的关系、樽本照雄从当时各种报刊所刊《绣像小说》发行广告这两种不同角度确认了《绣像小说》出版延期的事实,并由此认定《绣像小说》的停刊也出现了延期。近年来,文迎霞结合《新闻报》的广告也讨论了《绣像小说》停刊延期,但目前对《绣像小说》的停刊时间并未有统一的结论。笔者发现樽本照雄所制《〈绣像小说〉刊行一览》所收《申报》刊《绣像小说》广告与实际有较大出入,《申报》所刊《绣像小说》实际有惠书致谢、专门广告、商务印书馆说部广告等三种。根据《申报》广告的实际情况,笔者认为虽然目前有时间较为一致的《绣像小说》第72期的广告,但后期广告的精确性不如前期,《绣像小说》停刊的时间上限应为1907年1月30日。
