全国图书质量大检查的联想——谈谈图书的校对问题

【摘要】：这是一篇专谈校对工作的文章。作者曾任国家新闻出版总署副署长,中国出版集团总裁、党委书记,现任《中国大百科全书》执行总主编。本文特别提到1993年新闻出版署图书司做的一件震动全国出版业、影响深远的大事:全国图书质量大检查。其时,读者强烈反映出版物质量差,突出的是文字差错率太高。于是,图书司从1991年、1992年两年的出书目录中随机抽出几十种图书,请专业人员检查差错率。检查结果,很让人震惊,合格率仅为20%。随后,图书司形成一种工作机制,连续几年、多次从各个方面进行图书质量检查:大型古籍今译图书质量检查、少儿图书质量检查、文学图书质量检查、优秀出版社图书质量检查……终于扭转了图书质量严重下滑的局面。1999年全国优秀出版社图书质量的合格率达到80%以上。诚如作者所言,出版单位一定要本着对读者负责、对社会负责、对子孙后代负责的态度,切实提高出版物质量,提供合格的精神产品。我刊认为,图书的质量问题,编校质量问题,任重道远,本文值得业界同仁一读。
[Abstract]:This is an article devoted to proofreading. The author has served as Deputy Administrator of the State Press and publication Administration, President of China Publishing Group, Secretary of the Party Committee, and currently chief executive editor of the Encyclopedia of China. This paper especially refers to a great event that the department of books of the Press and publication Administration did in 1993, which shocked the publishing industry in the whole country and had a far-reaching impact: the great inspection of the quality of books throughout the country. At that time, readers strongly reflected the poor quality of publications, highlighted by the high rate of text error. As a result, the Department of Books from the 1991, 1992 two-year book out of the randomly selected dozens of books, asked professionals to check the error rate. Inspection results, very shocking, the qualified rate is only 20. Subsequently, the Department of Books formed a kind of working mechanism. For several years in a row, it carried out many inspections on the quality of books from various aspects: the quality checks of large ancient books and modern translations, the quality checks of children's books, and the quality checks of literary books. Excellent publishing house book quality inspection. Finally, it reversed the serious decline in the quality of books. In 1999, the qualified rate of book quality of excellent publishing houses reached more than 80%. As the author has said, publishing units must be responsible to readers, society and future generations to improve the quality of publications and provide qualified spiritual products. I believe that the quality of books, editing quality issues, long way to go, this paper is worth reading industry colleagues.
