从“任性”的翻译谈出版的任性

【摘要】：正近日因政协记者会上关于"任性"一词的英译,引发不少争议。现场口译张蕾,把发言人所讲的"任性",译为capncious,获得许多网民的点赞。但《中华读书报》发表的王晴佳教授的文章,却认为,发言人此处的原意是"反腐一致",译成贬义的capncious,是"欠妥的,甚至是错误"。认为应该译为detemined,persistent或者unswerving。"任性"一词,《现代汉语词典》的释义是:放任自己的性子,不加约束。香港
[Abstract]:Recently, there has been a lot of controversy over the English translation of the word "wayward" at a press conference of the Chinese people's political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Zhang Lei, a live interpreter, translated the spokesman's capricious remarks into capncious, and won the likes of many netizens. However, Professor Wang Qingjia's article published in the China Book Reading Daily believes that the spokesman's original intention here is "anti-corruption consistency", and that the derogatory capncious, is "defective or even wrong." It is believed that the word detemined,persistent or unswerving. should be translated into the word "wayward". The interpretation of Modern Chinese Dictionary is to let go of one's own nature and leave it unconstrained. Hong Kong
