本文旨在探讨宣传艺术与妇女解放的关系。从宣传海报这一全新的视角来看待中国妇女的权利。中国共产党自赢得内战以来,一直致力于妇女生活的改善。但要做到这一点,他们需要对抗数百年的儒家传统。这种传统造就了中国社会女性的原型。妇女在家庭中被要求举止得体,扮演好自己的角色。然而时代发展到今天,共产党希望妇女摆脱家庭束缚,走出家门,走向田间地头,走向工厂。因此,他们利用宣传海报来宣传新的行为模式,并最终为社会创造出一种新的女性原型——社会主义新女性——1949-1966年宣传海报中所表现出来的一系列特征和行为。我通过分析这一时期的各种宣传海报,来回答谁是社会主义新女性、她和传统的模型有什么取别。
