[Abstract]:On January 24th, Portugal's centre-right candidate, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, won the day's presidential election. He will take over the pink presidential palace on the bank of Lisbon on March this year. Replace current president Silva, who has completed his 10-year term. Marcelo was born on December 1948 in Lisbon, Portugal's capital, to a doctor and politician. His mother is a social worker. He graduated from law in 1971 and received a doctorate in law from the University of Lisbon in 1984. However, he taught at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon for 44 years, so his supporters like to call him "Marcelo."
