美国建国初期两党在交通建设上的态度及影响

【摘要】:美国建国初期的交通状况不仅阻隔了各地之间的经济往来,影响国内统一市场的形成,在政治上也不利于联邦制的巩固和国家的统一。因此,加强国内交通建设成为早期政治家们的共识。但由于两党对宪法的解释存在差异,在联邦政府能否主持国内交通建设这一问题上产生了分歧。有鉴于此,各州为了自己的经济利益,利用私人资本建设公路和开凿运河,试图加强与西部的联系,但私人资本及其投资的局限性让这一成果极其有限。
[Abstract]:The traffic conditions in the early days of the founding of the United States not only blocked economic exchanges between different places, affected the formation of a unified domestic market, but also did not benefit the consolidation of federalism and the unification of the country politically. Strengthening domestic transport construction became an early consensus among politicians. But because of the differences in the interpretation of the Constitution between the two parties, there were differences over whether the federal government could run domestic transport construction. For their own economic benefit, states use private capital to build roads and build canals, trying to strengthen ties with the west, but the limits of private capital and their investment make the gains extremely limited.
