[Abstract]:On March 11, 2011, an earthquake struck Japan, triggering a tsunami that led to the immersion of cultural relics in seawater. Seawater immersion caused microbial diseases of cultural relics, especially paper relics. The paper relics soaked in seawater for several months have black and reddish mildew spots. The purpose of this study is to study the degree of microbial diseases on paper relics by field investigation. Direct inoculation was used to isolate bacteria. The morphology of bacteria was observed by optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Combining DNA extraction with PCR
