But inthemodern urban development and construction,many historical and cultural towns andvillages are threatened, the contradictionbetween protection and development is moreand more obvious, and has more attention. After countless natural and man-madeobstacles, there are not so many historical towns and villages be preserved . As of 2012,only five villages and towns in shaanxi wasrated as "Chinese historical and culturaltowns and villages",andare scattered in the different area.
