论斯特拉波的“求真”意识

【摘要】：斯特拉波是古罗马时代著名的地理学家。他的代表作《地理学》一直受到学术界的关注。斯特拉波撰写《地理学》时广泛取材,既重视实地考察所获一手史料,又看重同时代人和前辈学者提供的信息,并对这些资料进行了谨慎地分析和选择。他不仅保有敏锐的怀疑精神,质疑已有成说,批判错误观点,还在此基础上或正本清源,或提出新的解释。他对存在争议的问题,不下定论,呈现众说;明晰自己的局限性,不断言无根据之事。斯特拉波在《地理学》中表现出强烈的"求真"意识。
[Abstract]:Strabo is a famous geologist in ancient Rome. His masterpiece Geography has always been the focus of academic circles. When Strabo wrote Geography, he drew on materials extensively and paid attention to historical materials obtained from field trips. He also values the information provided by his contemporaries and predecessors, and makes careful analysis and selection of such information. Not only does he maintain a keen spirit of scepticism, he questions what has been said, criticizes wrong ideas, and on this basis or on the basis of that, Or put forward a new explanation. He does not draw a conclusion on the disputed problem, presents the theory; clarifies his limitations and does not assert baseless things. Strabo shows a strong sense of "seeking truth" in Geography.
