李约瑟难题与钱学森之问的文化诠释

【摘要】:英国著名的中国科技史研究学者曾经有一个疑问,中国古代在技术上一直都是领先于欧洲的,但创造了四大发明的中国却没有生长出现代科学,是何原因。前些年,钱学森先生在逝世之前也曾发出过这样的追问,我们的科技与教育经过一个世纪的努力,虽然有了很大的发展,但仍没有培养出世界级的科学与学术大师,在大师的培养方面,我们甚至还不及民国时期。学界将上述的疑问与追问概括为"李约瑟难题"与"钱学森之问"。对上述难题与疑问学界已有不少思考,本文试图从马克思历史观提供的思路,进行一种新的诠释,即文化传统的诠释。中国近代之所以没有生长出现代科学,没有产生群星灿烂的科学与学术大师,原因尽管是多方面的,其中一个重要的原因是我们的传统文化与文化传统具有保守性,而文化传统的保守性又是由农耕文明的生产方式与交换方式的保守性所决定的。
[Abstract]:A famous British scholar of Chinese history of science and technology once wondered why ancient China was always ahead of Europe in technology, but China, which created the four great inventions, did not grow modern science. In previous years, before his death, Mr. Qian Xuesen had also asked this question: after a century of hard work in science, technology and education, although we have made great progress, we have not yet developed a world-class scientific and academic master. In terms of master cultivation, we are not even as good as the Republic of China. The above questions are summarized as Needham's problem and Qian Xuesen's question. There have been many reflections on the above problems and questions. This paper attempts to carry out a new interpretation of cultural tradition from the ideas provided by Marx's view of history. The reason why modern science did not grow in modern China and the brilliant scientific and academic masters of the stars did not occur, although there are many reasons, one of the important reasons is that our traditional culture and cultural traditions are conservative. The conservatism of cultural tradition is determined by the conservatism of the mode of production and exchange of farming civilization.
