【摘要】：2008年，当美国人民选出他们的第一个非裔总统时，世界人民感到惊讶，而美国黑人特别地兴奋，同时也感到极度地骄傲，因为他们也实现了他们的盼望已久的美国梦。美国黑人经过了几个世纪的奋斗与挣扎，最终成就了他们的美国梦。 该论文的目的在于通过简略地回顾美国黑人的历史，仔细地探究上个世纪五、六十年代发生的美国黑人民权运动的原因。具体而言，黑人教育水平的提高是此次民权运动的一个主要的原因，第二次世界大战也对民权运动起了推动作用。同时，论文分析了一些典型的民权案件，从而深刻地探讨了黑人民权运动对于美国黑人的影响，对于整个美国的影响，乃至对于全世界的影响。 本论文描写了美国内战前，黑人在美国南部的悲惨生活，叙述了黑人在根深蒂固的种族隔离和种族歧视下的不幸遭遇，强调了民权运动中几次有名的活动，涉及了活动中著名的人物。 为了使论文充满说服力，作者在文中使用了有效的统计数据，引用了一些著名人物的言语表达。 文章指出，虽然黑人经过多年的努力与奋斗在美国获得了尊严与平等，但是，有些黑人依然因为其肤色在生活中遭到歧视，所以为了得到真正的平等与自由，为了使美国成为一个更加民主和公平的国家，美国的黑人民权运动还有很长的路要走。
