清代中后期江西商人长途贩运的经营方式——《江西商人经营信范》的经营史解读之二

【摘要】：本文运用《江西商人信范》等新史料,对江西商人经营方式、与牙行的关系、帮会组织、所利用的交通运输业等几个前人研究尚薄弱的问题作了新的探讨。由此可见,江西商人带着夏布、纸张、粮油等产品,利用长江水道,在安徽安庆、芜湖,江南溧阳、无锡、常州、南浔等城镇进行贩卖,再由上海、太仓等贩回棉花等物,至江西吴城等地销售。他们较多地运用了协作、合作经营方式。利用本地牙行发货,牙行则收取定额的牙用钱;建立了自己的行会组织,对所贩卖的夏布抽厘,与牙行及行会之间建立了相对稳定的定价机制;还充分利用了长江水系比较便利的交通运输系统以运送货物、传递信息。
