民国上海与南京红帮西服业之比较研究

【摘要】:本文以民国时期上海、南京两地红帮西服行业为研究对象,结合经济学和社会学等相关理论,从以下四个方面对上海、南京两地红帮西服行业的发展特点进行分析和比较。首先是发展历程比较,通过将两地红帮西服行业的发展历程划分为三个阶段依次进行分析。在发展早期,两地红帮西服行业创办者红帮裁缝的始祖均为拎包裁缝,但上海拎包裁缝出现时间早于南京,西服行业的起步也比南京早;在发展中期,两地人口数量激增、社会氛围开放,红帮西服行业均呈现出高昂的发展态势,但上海红帮西服行业的发展状况优于南京;在发展后期,两地红帮西服行业均不同程度受到抗日战争的影响,但是在抗战结束后都迅速从战争的衰败中恢复。其次是产品分类分析,分别对两地红帮西服行业五种类型的产品进行分析。一是西服,西服在两地经营活动过程中占据主体地位,但由于上海社会环境更加开放且西服传入时间早,所以在西服款式创新方面优于南京;二是中山装,中山装同样是两地红帮西服行业的主要产品,但由于南京是政治中心,而且职业结构构成中公务人员队伍比上海庞大,所以中山装的销售比例高于上海;三是军服,由于南京是首都,军警人员众多,因此军服的业务量庞大,同时期上海则只有部分西服店经营军服业务;四是西式礼服和大衣,两者在两地均有稳定的消费人群,因此也是红帮西服店铺的主营产品。再次是经营模式比较,分别从定名方式、选址方式、营销方式三个方面展开。一是定名方式比较,早期两地红帮西服店铺多采用以吉利字眼为主的传统命名方式,后期都出现了新式的定名方式,因为两地社会氛围的差异,所以新式店铺定名方式有着显著的不同;二是选址方式比较,两地红帮西服店铺在选址方面呈现出向商业“黄金圈”靠拢的特征,它们大多选择开设在城市较为繁华的区域;三是营销方式比较,两地红帮西服店均重视口碑营销、广告营销和精益化营销,但是在精益化营销方面存在较大差别。最后是管理机构比较,分别从管理机制和管理机构的作用两个方面展开。在管理机制比较中,两地虽都采用理事制度,但上海细分为理事会、常务理事和监事会三个部门且各部门职责明确,南京则只有理事会和常务理事,缺少对监事具体职责的规定;在管理章程方面,上海西服商业同业公会的管理章程比南京更全面;在选举与决议方式方面,两地均采用民主公正的方式。在管理机构作用的比较中,两地同业公会均通过要求商号加入公会、制定行业业规和统一市场价格三个方面来稳定市场秩序,为会员提供各种证明服务和物资配给服务,及时向政府反映诉求,为同业会员排忧解难;但是,南京军西服业同业公会没有为会员提供教育服务,另外在与职工公会沟通时缺少主动协调的能力。经研究发现,民国时期上海、南京两地红帮西服行业在发展过程中既有相同的特征,也有各自的特点。对民国时期上海、南京两地红帮西服行业的分析和比较研究,不仅从横向上剖析出同一时期两地红帮西服业的发展历程、经营模式等各方面的状况及所达到的水平,而且从纵向上梳理出两地红帮西服行业的发展脉络,以及不同的社会背景对红帮西服行业的影响。
