挑战与机遇:近代国际化背景下的江南棉商

【摘要】：在开放的国际贸易背景下,中外之间的贸易往来日益频繁,洋商带来了国际市场通行的市场经营方式,江南棉商承袭业界成规,与国际市场的贸易规则发生碰撞,遇到了前所未有的新问题。国际市场对棉花品质要求的标准化、棉花加工包装的机械化、市场运行机制的规范化和市场信息传播的便捷,对江南棉商提出了新的挑战;同时全球性商品竞争和国际贸易规则的示范和刺激也为棉商提供了发展契机。江南棉商抓住机遇困中求变,规范行业健康发展,模仿学习国际先进的经营方式。其近代遭遇一定程度上是中国传统商业向近代变迁的缩影,其演变发展的动力既有来自西方文明的示范和挑战,也与自身的生存环境和所具有的独特内涵密切相关,是外在冲击与内在逻辑的合力推动。
[Abstract]:Under the background of open international trade, the trade between China and foreign countries is becoming more and more frequent. Foreign merchants bring the prevailing market management mode in the international market. The cotton merchants in the south of the Yangtze River inherit the rules of the industry and collide with the trade rules of the international market. Encountered unprecedented new problems. The standardization of cotton quality requirements in the international market, the mechanization of cotton processing and packaging, the standardization of market operation mechanism and the convenience of market information dissemination have posed new challenges to cotton merchants in Jiangnan. At the same time, global commodity competition and the demonstration and stimulation of international trade rules also provide the development opportunity for cotton traders. Jiangnan cotton merchants seize the opportunity to seek change, standardize the healthy development of the industry, imitate and learn from international advanced business methods. To a certain extent, its modern encounter is a microcosm of the changes from Chinese traditional commerce to modern times. The motive force of its evolution and development is not only from the demonstration and challenge of Western civilization, but also closely related to its own living environment and unique connotation. It is the resultant force of external shock and internal logic.
