民国初期灵武地区的“鸽堂”与“鸽堂捐”

【摘要】：鸽子是我国驯养历史悠久且寓意美好的飞禽之一,在回族社会中鸽子也得到了独特的珍爱和普遍的家养。在宁夏灵武、吴忠等回族聚居区,养鸽不仅成为该地区的地方特色,而且在20世纪二三十年代,养鸽还成为当地回族重要的生计方式,由此产生的"鸽堂捐"成为该地区早期回族现代教育的重要经费来源。
[Abstract]:Pigeons are one of the birds with a long history and good meaning in our country. In Hui society, pigeons have also been treasured and widely domesticated. In areas inhabited by Hui ethnic groups such as Lingwu and Wu Zhong in Ningxia, pigeon breeding not only became a local feature in the region, but also became an important means of livelihood for the local Hui people in the 1920s and 1930s. Thus, pigeon donation became an important source of funding for the early Hui modern education in the region.
