欲望之像:《在未知的中国》诺苏形象机理诠解

【摘要】:《在未知的中国》,是英籍传教士柏格理在西南凉山诺苏领地部落中游历观察和体验探险的记录。该著堪称清末民国时期西人书写近代西南图像的翘楚之作,又恰似一面西洋镜,系统映照出了凉山腹地近代诺苏族民众生相。究诘该西镜东像的生成机制,"被俯视的尴尬时代"和"遭书写的文化语境"构成了化生形象的外部环境;受此"历史场"和"文化场"影响,在关涉诺苏形象内在质性的书写策略和意义表达中,不仅藏掖着从"见证叙事"经"英雄叙事"到"启蒙叙事"三重并置模式,隐含着西方话语、国家政权和诺苏本土互为"他者"的三重文化语境或"语词关系",而且承载着撰述者"化中国的传教需求"。因此,《在未知的中国》构建的诺苏形象,在现实之镜表象下表达的是撰述者的欲望。
[Abstract]:In unknown China, it is a record of British missionaries visiting, observing and experiencing expeditions in the Noussou Tribes of the Southwestern Liangshan Mountains. This work can be regarded as a masterpiece of the western people writing modern southwest images in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, and it is just like a Western mirror, which systematically reflects the modern life of the Noussu people in the hinterland of Liangshan. The formation mechanism of the East Image of the West Mirror, the embarrassing era of being overviewed and the cultural context of being written constitute the external environment of the metaphysical image, which is influenced by the historical field and the cultural field. In the writing strategy and meaning expression related to the intrinsic quality of the image of Nuosu, it not only hides the triple juxtaposition model from "witness narration" to "heroic narrative" to "enlightening narrative", but also implies western discourse. The state power and the Neosu natives are the "other" in a triple cultural context or "word relation", and bear the "missionary demand" of the narrator "to turn China into a missionary". Therefore, the image of Nuosu constructed in unknown China expresses the desire of the narrator under the mirror of reality.
