“刻毡为形”试释——兼论突厥的祆神祭祀

【摘要】：突厥人曾经信仰祆教,祭祀祆神时不立祠庙,而是将"刻毡为形"的祆神像悬挂在竿上进行祭祀,这种祭祀方式与突厥人的游牧生活相适应。在条件具备的情况下,一些突厥人也在祆祠中祭祀。"刻毡为形",就是以缂毛工艺织造出祆神的图像,这种图像可能与敦煌等地祆祠和赛祆仪式中悬挂的祆神画像类似。突厥人以"脂苏"涂抹祆神像的做法,源自波斯祆教徒以麝香和苏涂抹祆神像的祭祀仪式,突厥人通过粟特人学习到这种仪式。
