[Abstract]:Sulfonamides are synthetic and high-efficiency broad-spectrum antibiotics, which are widely used in animal husbandry, aquaculture and the treatment of human diseases. However, its long-term emission and cumulative residue will induce the production of antibiotic resistance gene (ARGs). As a new type of environmental pollutant, the persistent residue, replication, transmission and diffusion in the environment are more harmful than the antibiotic itself. Based on the review of the production and transmission of sulfonamides ARGs and drug-resistant microorganisms, a ARGs evolution model of "gradual cumulative mutation" was proposed. Finally, the future research focus of sulfonamides ARGs is put forward in China.
