信息通信技术(ICT)已成为高度发达的信息社会收集、处理、存储、检索和传播信息的常用工具。这一发展使得许多新闻媒体中心和图书馆在提供信息资源方面发生了明显的变化。信息通信技术的应用在很大程度上取决于计算机设施的可用性、设备状态和技术运用的充分性。信息通信技术的应用带来了信息环境的巨大变化。图书馆通过教学支持、学习支持、研究支持和为社区提供其他服务,在高校中发挥着重要作用。高校图书馆向用户提供重要信息资源支持的水平将在很大程度上决定所在高校能否实现其教学与科研目标。但是应该认识到,目前大多数高校图书馆服务效率普遍相对低下。由于手工或传统方法的使用,导致图书馆的诸多服务操作和服务职能质量、数量遭受了一定程度的降低。因此,本研究旨在调查江苏大学图书馆和加纳大学图书馆信息通信技术的应用对图书馆服务提供的具体影响机理。本研究制订了四项目标:第一个目标是评估两所高校的图书馆在服务过程中信息通信技术的应用水平;第二个目标是评估两所高校的图书馆实际服务水平;第三个目标是评估两所高校图书馆在应用信息通信技术以提供图书馆服务方面面临的具体挑战;最后一个目标是评估两所高校图书馆应用信息通讯技术对其服务造成的...
