基于书评语料库的评价性语言使用特征研究

【摘要】：本研究试图从价值论和语言交际的视角定义评价,将评价看作是“评价者(评价主体)在具体语境中根据一定的评价依据对被评价者(评价客体)做出的价值判断”,整个过程能反映出潜藏在某一团体背后的价值观念或标准。本研究的出发点是评价意义是语言的一个重要特点,尤其在书评这样一个评价性语言高度集中的语类。本研究从词汇,词簇及语法结构三个层面,采用定量统计和定性分析的研究方法揭示了评价性语言在书评中的实现方式。 本研究以自建书评语料库(语言学书评200篇和医学书评200篇)为基础。采取基于语料库的研究方法对学术书评中的评价性语言做上述三个层面上的探讨。 研究结果表明：(1)语言学和医学的书评作者在表达其评价时都倾向于使用积极的评价性语言。(2)在评价性词汇的使用上,语言学书评的评价性词汇丰富度高于医学书评。(3)在评价性词簇的使用上,医学的书评倾向于使用较为固定的词簇。(4)在评价性语法结构层面,本研究识别了书评中承载评价意义的较为常见的7种句法模式,并对其进行了分析和阐述。 本研究结果为语言学习者更好的理解和学习某一特定文体中的语言行为具有一定的帮助。同时,对于英语教学和英语学术写作具有一定指导意义。
