【摘要】：元话语策略之一的自我提及语(self mentions)是确立作者身份、树立作者权威、构建作者与读者关系的重要手段。本文从中外学者撰写的英汉学术论文中自我提及语的使用差别入手,选取了语言学、外语教学领域的学术论文各五十篇自建三个语料库,采取定量定性相结合的方法对语料库数据进行对比分析。以Fauconnier的心理空间为理论基础,结合语料库中具体的例句来研究中外学者是如何采用自我提及的修辞策略,并试图探寻其心理根源。 借助WordSmith4.0软件的Concordance功能对三个语料库中的自我提及语以搭配动词进行检索,统计验证发现中英自我提及语的使用频率、语境搭配等方面表现出跨文化的差异。英美学者倾向于使用自我提及语单数形式,而中国学者使用了较多的复数。由于复数所指具有不确定性,为了进一步明确其功能和含义,按包容性(inclusive)和排斥性(exclusive)对复数形式做了手工的标注统计,找出三个库之间的差异,并用心理空间理论的角色和价值的认知连接原则结合具体的例句进行分析。对自我提及语的共现语境,即动词搭配从动词意义分类及时态方面进行系统的对比分析。根据Halliday功能语法理论框架及物性系统分类动词,对与自我提及语搭配的动词进行了意义上的分类和统计,并进行了三个库之间的对比分析及差别显著性检验。关于动词的时态和体,进行了手工标注和统计,因为两者之间的结合可以表示心理空间内部的相对关系,应用相关认知理论对动词的功能进行了解释。 上述研究表明,英美学者更倾向于使用自我提及语单数形式,体现出较明晰的作者身份体现和对研究结果与观点的责任承担。中国学者受文化背景和汉语语法的影响,仍受制于传统的学术语篇写作模式,较少使用提及语,即使使用也多是复数排斥性用法,并信赖语境来表达观点,从而造成个人观点表述力度较弱,不利于读者沟通。中外学者使用自我提及语的研究,有助于加强作者知识构建及作者读者相互之间关系的理解,并将帮助中国学者最终提高学术写作水平,尽快融入国际学术期刊写作的大环境。
