【摘要】：亚里士多德说:"人们为了活着,聚集于城市;为了活得更好,而居留于城市。"我们每天生活在城市当中,我们的感官、视觉、听觉都因城市环境的改变而发生变化。我们视线所及的不仅是不同的地貌与人群,更多的是覆盖在这片土地上的人类自己创造的大景观。城市就是在此居住的所有人的共同家园。当代城市雕塑是将艺术置于立体的公共空间中创造表现出来的,杰出的城市雕塑在雕塑家塑造伊始,就被赋予了灵气,写实亦或写意,都如同喷薄的艺术之光,璀璨绚烂,将雕塑艺术的魅力展现得淋漓尽致。当代很多城市都用公共艺术传达着其独特的艺术精神、民族气派、文化底蕴。作为公共艺术的最普遍的形式之一雕塑在城市中的分布是极为广泛的,公共空间视野中总是能够寻觅到雕塑的身影,它们与各种景观小品、公共设施、城市建筑融合为一体,形成具有艺术价值的公共艺术空间。城市雕塑是对环境的诠释,也是对环境的延伸,它使原本沉闷而有限的空间,升华为有生机的、无限的、充盈的空间。南京是旧日积淀与今日辉煌、自然风光与现代都市的碰撞,城市形象的设计与建设则更需要多元化公共艺术设计的参与,而城市雕塑的营造便是其中不可或缺的一环。南京的城市雕塑愈趋呈现多样性,公共艺术家已经在艺术表现形式上做了多方位的尝试、改革与创新。南京城市雕塑主要包括纪念性雕塑、主题性雕塑和装饰性雕塑等三大类型,这几个类型的城市雕塑都展示了南京的城市风采。南京具有代表性的街区长江路街道以及新街口核心地区,这两个街区的城市雕塑艺术是南京公共艺术的缩影,凸显着南京的城市特质,具有时代性。南京的辟邪文化源远流长,但是否继续使用辟邪作为南京城市的象征,镇守城门,是一个值得商榷的问题。城市雕塑未来的发展之路,应在传承的基础上同时进行创新,传承之路与创新之路应合二为一。一方面,南京的六朝兴亡交替,成就其坦然沧桑、大气深沉、空疏旷达的文化特质。南京对其历史文化资源的保护从开始仅用冻结式博物馆保存,发展到利用如今公共艺术对历史文化风貌进行整体性的保护,同时重视公共历史环境空间的活力和生命力,努力实现历史空间的可持续发展。而南京城市雕塑也在南京城历史文化气息的熏陶下,练就其深邃而沉静、温润而苍劲、悠久而旷达的气质,有着不可替代的独特性。另一方面,未来南京城市雕塑若想现有基础上取得创新,则需要寻求与媒体、与大众进行更广泛更多元化的互动,运用科技等手段使南京城市雕塑有更长远的发展。随着公共艺术和城市雕塑的发展,城市的布局规划与建筑整体风格的设计必然将被纳入于艺术体系中,所以城市雕塑也应以现代科学技术、社会生活为依托。技术支持艺术,艺术展现技术,两者相辅相成,从而获得广泛的发展空间以及新兴的发展模式。工业革命后固体材料为主的机械艺术是主流,20世纪后期,科技迅猛发展促生了多种材料拼接的后现代艺术,而当下更加的发达科学技术为公共艺术媒介则提供了更多可能。水、光、电、声音乃至味道等一些虚无缥缈的非固体材料可以通过数字手段得到精确的控制,这些都能在很大程度上开拓了城市雕塑材质的种类,丰富当代城市雕塑的表现形式语言。南京城市雕塑虽有不同种类和风格,但其气韵、意境相通,共同承载着南京的人文故事、民俗风情、未来志向,笔者相信南京城市雕塑将在传承和创新的道路上,发扬其独有的气质和意蕴,为南京城注入源源不断的生机和活力,向南京乃至世界展示其独一无二的迷人风采。
