【摘要】：正威廉·塔克(William Tucker)的《雕塑的语言》(THE LANGUAGE OF SCULPTURE)成书于20世纪70年代,尽管至今已经近50年,2017年此书中文版出版,读来仍然让笔者兴奋不已。兴奋点在哪里呢?细想起来主要有几点。一是作者"看"作品的能力,在我们习以为常的经典雕塑作品面前,作者所表现出的观察力;二是作者基于"语言"感知,回溯雕塑史,从而重新认知现代主义雕塑家的穿透力;三是作者成书
[Abstract]:William Tucker's "language of Sculpture" (he language of sculpture) was published in the 1970s. Although it has been nearly 50 years, the Chinese version of the book published in 2017 still excites the author. Where's the excitement? There are several main points to think about. One is the ability of the author to "see" the work, and the other is the author's observational ability in front of the classical sculptures we are used to; the second is the author's ability to trace back to the history of sculpture based on "language" perception. In order to re-recognize the penetrating power of modernist sculptors; third, the author becomes a book.
