卡通角色动画的表情符号研究及技术实现

【摘要】:随着数字化时代的到来,传统动画正在经历着一场从二维走向三维的革命性转变,二维卡通动画形象以其独特的视觉形式与审美要求被更多的人认可;动画形象也以其视觉传达的世界通用“语言”形式成为影响世界文化的因素。如何有效的将三维技术与二维动画的融合形成新的审美方式已经成为了一个重要的研究课题。 二维卡通动画角色表情往往是多种情感交织的结果,是高度浓缩了的人性,是现实生活中人物或非人物的夸张和抽象,因其独有的多元化特征很难被确切的划分为某一特定的表情类别。纵观现有的面部表情识别技术多是采用了参考真人的表情特征,忽略了二维卡通形象面部表情独特的视觉形式和审美情感,对于二维卡通角色表情的识别和分类方法至今还没有一个统一的定义。 现有的主流面部建模技术与表情动画技术可以比较精细的塑造角色面部表情且变形逼真,但是由于实际操作中这些技术存在面部模型改造的过程步骤及细节调整复杂和繁琐、调整速度比较慢的缺点;也有因设置变形参数繁多,在实现时需要反复比选调试参数,耗时过长缺乏便捷性的缺点。 随着开设动漫与影视动画课程的院校日益增多及相关技术普及,用优化技术改善教学过程中的实现难度,辅助教学课程学习将成为极其有意义的工作。 鉴于此,本文分析二维卡通动画面部表情特征,提出表情识别思路和分类方法;采用优化的三维技术或方法实现并调试给出表情设置的合理参数范围。 本文的研究重点及主要成果有: 1、本文系统介绍了目前主流的角色动画面部表情识别、面部建模、表情动画等几方面的实现技术,简单介绍了现有面部表情技术的主要特点,并对角色面部表情识别与三维技术实现方式之间的联系和各自的优缺点进行了详细的分析。 2、系统分析二维卡通面部表情特征及对表情分类进行研究,借助符号学的相关理论建立了表情符号,得出了二维卡通基本表情识别模型。并用层次化结构方法划分解决了卡通面部表情的个体差异性特征。表情符号模型的构建实现了对卡通角色反映的情感特征的表达和还原了其视觉形式效果。 3、采用Pixol建模技术进行表情模型的塑造和局部表情特征调整,以此改善传统建模工具进行面部模型改造的复杂过程步骤及繁琐的细节调整,其快速实现多元化表情模型的特点,为实现特定面部表情变形设置奠定了基础。 4、提出了一种线控表情绑定融合变形的思路,设计采用线控驱动的方法绑定表情的融合变形参数进行调试表情,以此优化变形中表情细节设置的局限,能迅速的对表情进行捕捉,快速获得特定表情的参数值的效果,有效实现了界面互动。 5、根据上述理论与实现技术分析,,较为系统的总结了不同类别表情符号的特征;对面部表情符号进行三维模型设计,形成特定三维表情模型。通过调试确定了各类表情符号的参数设置范围值。为卡通角色动画表情研究的同行提供有价值的参考。

In view of this, this paper analyzes the facial expression of two-dimensional cartoon animation, puts forward the method of expression recognition and the classification method, and uses the optimized three-dimensional technique or method to realize and debug the expression setting.
