【摘要】："Polyphony"一词是西方音乐理论中最常见的词汇之一,其含意主要为多声部音乐。在欧美的西方音乐理论中,"多声部音乐"≠"复调音乐"。然而,"Polyphony"一词在我国的西方音乐理论界却几尽被翻译或理解为"复调音乐",形成某种"多声部音乐"="复调音乐"的误解,此种现象已历经数十年,业已成为我国音乐界的某种"共识"。本文拟以西方音乐发展的历史进程,重新审视此词,力求解读其应有的含义。
