尺牍:方寸映素心

【摘要】：正什么是尺牍1、尺牍即书信尺牍在现代汉语中的意思是书信。作为一个复合词,书信的意思就是信,即按照习惯的格式把要说的话写下来给指定的对象看的东西,殊不知在古代"书"指的是现在的信,而"信"指的是使者即送信的人。这一点,我们从信的字形也能略见一斑,左从人、右从言,是会意字。大约汉魏六朝以后,"书""信"词义始复合。这样说来尺牍最初指书,后指书信,沿用至今。

As a compound word, the meaning of a letter is to believe, that is, to write down the words to be said and read to the designated object in the customary form, but in ancient times "book" refers to the present letter, and "letter" refers to the messenger who delivers the message. We can also see this from the letter's glyph, left from people, right from words, is a word of understanding. After the Han, Wei and six dynasties, the meaning of "Shu" and "Xin" began to reunite. In this way, the letter originally refers to the book, then the letter, which is still in use today.
