【摘要】：本文披露笔者在其莎士比亚诗作译稿编辑出版过程中和付梓发行之后与部分编辑、读者和青年学子就莎诗翻译的通信交流内容,让公众窥视一眼翻译活动的幕后工作,了解一下译者的决策过程:剖毫析芒的考证、小心翼翼的推敲、颇费思量的取舍、殚思竭虑的修订,从而说明一次翻译活动就犹如一座冰山,读者所读到的译本仅仅是可以看见的冰山一角,而译者所做的绝大部分工作则是不为公众所见的水下部分。
[Abstract]:This article reveals that during the process of editing and publishing the translation of Shakespeare's poems and after the publication of the translation, the author communicates with some editors, readers and young students about the translation of Shakespeare's poems, so as to give the public a glimpse of the work behind the scenes in the translation activities.Take a look at the translator's decision-making process: textual research, careful scrutiny, thoughtful choice, painstaking revision, which shows that a translation activity is like an iceberg.What readers read is only the tip of the iceberg, while most of what the translator does is the underwater part which is not seen by the public.
