关联理论视域下《克莱蒙特大街的报纸》翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本文为有关伊丽莎白·乔利所著的《克莱蒙特大街的报纸》的英汉翻译实践报告。作者以其中的前四章为翻译对象进行翻译尝试,在完成翻译实践的基础上,就所翻译的内容为研究分析对象,进行翻译报告的写作。在翻译过程中,作者遇到了许多的问题与挑战,如词义选择、情感表达等,看似容易实则解决起来不易。因此,作者翻阅翻译理论,查找翻译方法来尝试解决这些问题。作者在翻译实践过程中发现,乔利有自己独特的写作风格,如内容贴近日常生活,对话与景色描写居多,跳跃性大等,因此在翻译过程中需要多加注意。针对这个问题,作者选取关联理论对译文进行指导。具体来说,就是按照这一理论,结合其它的翻译方法,如使用增词、拆分及意译法,实现文章的通顺与流畅,达到既可以体现作者的写作风格,又便于读者接受与理解的目的。在翻译分析的基础上,作者总结出自己的翻译心得,不仅对自己今后的翻译实践有一定的借鉴意义,更对研究澳大利亚小说可以提供参考。值得一提的是,不管以后翻译哪类材料,自己的词汇量与知识面越广,理解起来的困难就会越少,这是翻译前必做的准备。
[Abstract]:This paper is an English-Chinese translation report on Elizabeth Jolly's Clement Street newspaper. Taking the first four chapters as the object of translation, the author tries to write the translation report on the basis of the translation practice. In the process of translation, the author has encountered many problems and challenges, such as choice of word meaning, emotional expression and so on. Therefore, the author tries to solve these problems by reading the translation theory and looking for translation methods. In the course of translation practice, the author finds that Jolly has his own unique writing style, such as the content close to daily life, dialogue and scenery description, jumping, and so on, so it is necessary to pay more attention to the translation process. To solve this problem, the author chooses relevance theory to guide the translation. Specifically, according to this theory, combined with other translation methods, such as the use of word addition, split and free translation, the article is smooth and smooth, which can not only reflect the author's writing style, but also be easy for readers to accept and understand. On the basis of translation analysis, the author sums up his own translation experience, which not only provides some reference for his translation practice in the future, but also provides a reference for the study of Australian novels. It is worth mentioning that, no matter what kind of materials are translated later, the wider one's vocabulary and knowledge, the less difficult it will be to understand, which is a necessary preparation before translation.
