[Abstract]:"Beno" is a restatement of Su Tong, a famous contemporary Chinese writer, about the love story of Meng Jiangnv, which has been read out by later generations in China. Bienu, with his cold clothes on his back and hard times, finds out that her husband is dead by the Great Wall, and she cries under the city. This the Great Wall collapses. This is the first novel by a Chinese writer to participate in a worldwide publication project, the restatement of Myth. Its English translation was subsequently translated and published in 2007 by Professor GE Haowen, a famous American Sinologist and translator. It was subsequently translated into French and Korean one after another. Finnish, Slovak and other languages. The restatement of mythology, which represents the image of Chinese culture to the world, is also a reconstruction of ancient civilization. The image of Meng Jiangnv makes people realize the good character of ancient women and the misery brought by war. The Chinese novel of Su Tong is mainly focused on mythological restatement, female culture and so on. Up to now, no scholars have made a systematic and in-depth comparative study of the Chinese and English texts of the book, and the English version and its translation have not been widely concerned and studied by domestic scholars. The theory of narratology emerged in France in the 1960s and has undergone two stages: classical narratology and post-classical narratology. The study of narratology in China combines the traditional Chinese literature with the main theoretical sources of the West. Based on the theory of narratology, this paper explores the changes of narrative techniques in the target text from several perspectives of narratology, such as narrative focus perspective, discourse transformation, character shaping and narrative structure, and analyzes the translation strategies adopted by the translator. This paper probes into and tries to test whether the original novel's original narrative skills and its narrative functions are reproduced in the English version. Based on the comparative analysis of the original works and their versions, it is found that the English versions of Professor Ghaorman's translation of "Beno" are basically consistent with Su Tong's original works from the perspective of narrative focus and discourse conversion. The translator tries to faithfully reproduce the narrative style of the original text. In the aspect of portraying the characters, it is concluded that the translator constructs the ideal image of Chinese goddess in the eyes of an audience by means of free translation, cultural saving translation and contrast from three aspects of character appearance, action and analogy. In terms of narrative structure, the translator changes and adjusts the original text through the recombination of events, the deletion and merging of the narration of the original text, which not only keeps the story, coherence and logic of the novel. It is also in line with the reading habits of the target readers. In general, the English version of Beno successfully reproduces the narrative features of the original and achieves the equivalence with the original in literary and aesthetic values. Foreign translation of Chinese literature is an important means of cultural communication and an important window for Chinese civilization to go to the world. The study of literary translation from the perspective of narratology and the correct analysis of the narrative characteristics of the original text and the translated version will help to carry out literary translation criticism more scientifically and enrich the approaches of literary translation studies. It is also helpful to enlighten the Chinese modern and contemporary literary works to the best way out of the world.
