杨宪益英译本《野草》翻译策略探析

【摘要】：作为鲁迅最具个人性的心灵文本,《野草》熔铸了鲁迅深刻的生命体验,为读者提供了丰富博大的阐释空间,但同时也给翻译者提出了很大的难题。杨宪益的译作是《野草》英译本的代表之一,具有重要的研究价值。译本使用了诸多策略,在文言、方言和特殊词汇的转译中,杨本通过通俗化、直译等力求如实再现原作意涵;在修辞的转译上,杨宪益先生重视原著的语言美感并尽可能地达到相应的审美效果;情感意蕴的传达上,使用倒装、活用动词等手段,力图传达《野草》的丰富内蕴。总体上,译本偏重直译,较好地传达了原文意旨。但对于这一象征性的诗性文本来说,其翻译过程中的损削较之小说等其他文体要更大。
[Abstract]:As Lu Xun's most personal spiritual text, the Wild Grass has cast Lu Xun's profound life experience, which provides readers with a rich and extensive interpretation space, but also poses a great problem for the translator. Yang Xianyi's translation is one of the representatives of the English translation of Wild Grass, which has important research value. In the translation of classical Chinese, dialects and special words, Yang Ben tries to reproduce the original meaning truthfully by means of popularization and literal translation. Mr. Yang Xianyi attaches importance to the aesthetic sense of the original language and achieves the corresponding aesthetic effect as far as possible. On the whole, the translation emphasizes literal translation and conveys the meaning of the original text well. However, for this symbolic poetic text, the damage in the process of translation is greater than that in other literary forms such as novels.
