关联翻译理论视角下《圆屋》翻译报告

【摘要】：《圆屋》是印第安裔女作家路易丝·厄德里克的作品。小说既讲述了一个扑朔迷离的暴力性侵案,又是一个关于印第安少年在白人主流文化中艰辛成长的忧伤故事。原作对于美国印第安裔的历史文化和当代生活的描述充满了人文关怀,同时主人公的成长历程也对青少年有一定的启迪作用,极具现实意义,激起了译者的翻译兴趣。格特在斯珀伯和威尔逊的关联理论基础上提出了关联翻译理论,使翻译理论的研究跨上了一个新台阶。他在理论中提出了两种翻译方法,即直接翻译和间接翻译。直接翻译要求译文准确传达原文的交际线索,而间接翻译则意在传达原文的明说与暗含意义。本次翻译活动将围绕直接翻译和间接翻译这两大翻译方法,分别从词、句、修辞层次展开讨论。其中,直接翻译主要包括音译、直译和加注;而间接翻译则涉及较广,处理文化负载词时可运用释义法和替代法,处理长难句时主要采用拆分重组法和增译减译的方法,对于修辞,小说中以明喻、暗喻、拟人、夸张的运用较为普遍,主要采取转换法和引伸法。无论直接翻译还是间接翻译,译者的目的是力争对源语和译入语之间的差异做出正确的估计,综合考虑原文作者的意图和译文读者的认知环境,取得译文和原文之间的最佳关联,引导译入语读者使用最小的努力获得最大的语境效果。全书共十一章,译者选取第一章和第二章作为本次翻译项目的翻译任务。本篇翻译报告对整个翻译项目进行了具体描述,主要包括以下四个部分:任务描述、理论依据、案例研究、总结。
[Abstract]:Round House is the work of Louise Edric, an Indian woman writer. The novel not only tells a mysterious case of sexual assault, but also a sad story about Indian teenagers growing up hard in the mainstream white culture. The original depiction of the historical culture and contemporary life of American Indians is full of humanistic concern. Meanwhile, the protagonist's development has a certain enlightening effect on teenagers, which is of great practical significance and arouses the translator's interest in translation. Gert puts forward relevance translation theory based on Sperber's and Wilson's relevance theory, which takes the study of translation theory to a new level. In his theory, he puts forward two translation methods: direct translation and indirect translation. Direct translation requires accurate communication clues, while indirect translation is intended to convey the explicit and implicit meaning of the original text. The translation activities will focus on direct translation and indirect translation, respectively from the word, sentence and rhetorical levels. Among them, direct translation mainly includes transliteration, literal translation and annotation, while indirect translation involves a wide range. Interpretation and substitution methods can be used in dealing with culture-loaded words, while in dealing with long difficult sentences, the methods of separation, recombination, addition and subtraction are mainly used. For rhetoric, metonymy, metaphor, personification and exaggeration are widely used in novels, mainly by means of transformation and extension. Whether in direct or indirect translation, the translator's aim is to make a correct estimate of the difference between the source language and the target language, taking into account the author's intention and the target reader's cognitive environment. To obtain the best correlation between the target text and the original text and guide the target readers to use the least effort to achieve the maximum contextual effect. The translator chooses the first chapter and the second chapter as the translation task of this translation project. This translation report describes the whole translation project in detail, including the following four parts: task description, theoretical basis, case study and summary.
