恐怖艺术的悖论——以当代西方学界的观点与论争为中心

【摘要】:恐怖艺术的悖论指的是观众享受了恐怖性虚构所产生的恐惧和厌恶。当代西方学界提出了补偿论、享受论、控制论等多种思路解决这一悖论,其思路和观点对中国学界具有高度的启发性:一、不同风格类型的艺术品具有不同的特质,恐怖性愉悦所指的对象是不同的;二、不同欣赏者的认知情感反应不同,从恐怖性作品中所获得的愉悦的特质和程度有差异性,需经心理学实验的调查和认定;三、如果艺术性恐怖是一种文化现象,是否需要和如何获得理论的普遍性就是一个问题;四、补偿论、享受论、控制论等观点,相互之间有冲突也有互补,都从某个层面、某个角度解释了恐怖艺术的悖论现象。恐怖艺术的悖论涉及艺术品的特质、观众的认知情感反应、心理学事实的界定等诸多层面的问题,关系到审美心理学、艺术学、文化人类学等学科。问题的解决,需在前人的基础上,面对具体艺术作品,借助心理学的实验,提出新的理论假设。
[Abstract]:The paradox of horror art refers to the audience enjoying the fear and disgust generated by the horror fiction. The contemporary western scholars put forward a variety of ideas such as compensation theory, enjoyment theory, cybernetics and other ideas to solve this paradox, its ideas and views have a high degree of inspiration to the Chinese academic community: first, different styles of art have different characteristics, The objects of phobic pleasure are different; second, the cognitive emotional responses of different appreciators are different, and the quality and degree of pleasure obtained from the horror works are different, which need to be investigated and identified by psychological experiments. If artistic terror is a cultural phenomenon, it is a question whether or not we need and how to obtain the universality of the theory. Fourthly, there are conflicting and complementary viewpoints such as compensation theory, enjoyment theory, cybernetics and so on, all from a certain level. A certain angle explains the paradox of the art of terror. The paradox of horror art involves the characteristics of art, the cognitive and emotional reaction of the audience, the definition of psychological facts, and so on, which is related to the subjects of aesthetic psychology, art, cultural anthropology and so on. In order to solve the problem, we should put forward new theoretical hypotheses with the help of psychological experiments in the face of specific works of art on the basis of previous works of art.
