阿多诺的文化工业理论在中国的传播研究

【摘要】:文化工业产生于西方社会,它虽然出现得较晚但很快占据了主导地位而成为了文化霸主。这种劲头得到西方学界重视,使西方学者从不同学科领域进行理论阐释,形成了多种具有较大影响的文化研究理论,其中以阿多诺的文化工业理论产生的影响最为广泛。本文主要研究文化工业理论在我国各个时期的传播背景、概况、特征和意义,以及主要人物、代表作品等等。在阿多诺提出了文化工业理论后,恰逢中国社会的经济和文化改革,比如市场经济的兴起,科学技术或传媒技术的革新,再加之全球化、世界化的浪潮,文化工业席卷了中国的文化、经济、政治各个领域,使中国呈现出新的发展潮流。这种趋势引起了中国学界的关注,文化工业成为了学者们研究的热门课题,阿多诺的文化工业理论被借用于分析中国文化工业的发展变化。可是由于其复杂的现实和驳杂的文化历史,文化工业理论在中国传播之时必会产生变异,即此文化工业不同于彼文化工业,此理论不同于彼理论。基于以上的发展背景,阿多诺的文化工业理论在中国的传播可以分成四个阶段。首先是二十世纪九十年代之前,其次是九十年代初期,以照搬使用为主,再次是九十年代后期,对理论进行反思质疑,最后是二十一世纪至今,以冷静辩证的研究为主。因为第一阶段,即九十年代之前,对文化工业理论的传播停留在翻译和介绍阶段,而且引用频率较低,理解得不够透彻,故本文主要研究后三个阶段的发展变化,第一时期仅在第三章开头作简单概述,方便于理解其他时期的传播情况。第一章是本文的绪论部分,主要论述了本文的研究目的、意义、国内外研究现状、研究思路与方法、研究预期达到的结果等等。通过研究理论上的阐述,可以使阅读者清楚明白本文的研究标准和价值,以便真正了解文化工业理论在中国的发展变化的脉络。而且正确的理论方法的指导有助于文本研究的顺利展开,是为论文的分析研究作出准确的方向引导。第二章主要解释了本文的研究对象即阿多诺的文化工业理论。该理论的隆重登场是在阿多诺创作的《启蒙辩证法》一书中,在此书中,阿多诺提出文化工业具备标准化、商品属性、个性虚假、意识形态功能的特点,并且批判了大工业时代中技术理性对文化艺术造成的消极影响,提出了技术使艺术走向了其反面,即文化工业具有反启蒙的效果。这些批判加深了人们对文化工业的认识。此章节分别从来源、内涵、历史背景、性质等方面详细介绍文化工业理论,这有助于理解该理论在中国的传播发展概况。第三章论述九十年代初期及其之前的传播概况,包括在我国传播的背景、现状、原因和特点。关注点是在九十年代初期这一阶段,因为对文化工业的大量引用是在九十年代初期才开始的,这和中国文化工业的兴起时间基本同步。此阶段以直接挪用为特点的原因有三个:一是中国本土文化工业的兴旺;二是国内文化工业批评理论的稀少;三是对转型的迷茫以及自我身份认同的焦虑。第四章主要论述了在二十世纪九十年代中期,中国学界开始反思对文化工业理论的引用。准确地说是从1995年从徐贲发表的论文开始,以学者陶东风为明显转折的。这种反思主要表现在三个方面,第一是反思文化工业理论自身的局限性,第二是文化工业理论与中国文化工业之间的契合度,第三是国内学者对文化工业理论的解读是否存在误读。但因阿多诺的文本缺少辩证性的思索,与其说是对文化理论的探究,不如说是片段化的自我探索,而且带上了自我的情绪由此探索此理论是否完全适用于我国的文化工业批评,并且提出应探索适合中国工业的文化理论。第五章是从二十一世纪开始,我国学界以冷静辩证的眼光看待文化工业理论,并且出现了新的研究方法和手段。加之其他的相关理论比如英美文化研究理论成为主流,“非常法兰克福”已经成为过去。用一种客观的心态对待文化发展现状,摒弃浮躁的喧哗更有利学术研究,而且我国学界在二十一世纪之前并没有系统的文化工业批判理论研究。这些现实情况导致文化工业理论在中国的传播出现了新的情况。第六章是对文化工业理论的传播总结,主要是从各个时期传播特点进行原因论述。对文化工业理论的传播过程进行了一个脉络梳理,在梳理这个过程当中得出传播的意义,使得理论的运用不浮于表面。关注文化工业理论在中国的传播发展特征,探讨中国文化工业的发展,引发对中国文化工业的研究思考,有着重要的理论和现实意义。
