西方艺术史的启蒙辩证法

【摘要】:启蒙辩证法是20世纪西方思想家霍克海默和阿多诺对西方文化的思索和批判。他们认为,启蒙并没有实现其最初的愿望,即带给人类自由和理性,反而使人类堕入新的桎梏和野蛮中。作为西方文化一部分的西方艺术的发展在启蒙时代同样也展现了这种辩证法,启蒙既推动了艺术的发展,同时又使艺术陷入新的桎梏,艺术在启蒙中既实现了自身的价值,同时又存在着不可避免的危险,艺术史的这种矛盾引导我们具体而辩证地思考启蒙以来的现代性问题。
[Abstract]:Enlightenment dialectics is the thinking and criticism of western culture by Horkheimer and Adorno in the 20th century. They believe that enlightenment did not fulfill its original wish, that is, to bring freedom and reason to mankind, but to bring it into new shackles and barbarism. The development of western art, as a part of western culture, also showed this dialectics in the Enlightenment era. Enlightenment not only promoted the development of art, but also plunged the art into new shackles. Art realized its own value in the enlightenment. At the same time, there are inevitable dangers. The contradiction of art history leads us to think about the modernity since the enlightenment concretely and dialectically.
