《与小姨同游》第10-14章的汉译实践报告

【摘要】:本翻译报告是笔者以英国著名小说家格雷厄姆·格林(Henry Graham Greene,1904-1991)的小说《与小姨同游》(Travels with My Aunt,1970)第10-14章的翻译实践为素材,从关联视角研究小说翻译并撰写的汉译实践报告。《与小姨同游》是格林的代表作之一,具有一定的翻译价值,目前尚没有中文译本。在理论上,笔者选用的是关联理论。关联理论从认知角度分析了言语交际过程中涉及的交际什么和如何交际的问题,认为翻译是一个复杂的明示——推理过程,提出了交际的核心是找到最佳关联,实现交际意图。此外,关联翻译理论还提出了直接翻译和间接翻译的概念。关联理论对翻译研究和实践有重大的指导意义。笔者在关联理论视角下进行文学翻译实践,发现关联理论提出的交际线索再现与风格再现有一定程度的相似性,两者恰好能诠释小说翻译的特点。由于中英两种语言的差异性,如何再现原作风格是一个值得关注的问题。因此笔者从关联理论视角切入,探究如何恰当地再现这些交际线索,再现原作风格,进而确保交际得以实现。笔者从言语形式交际线索中的语音、语义、句法、修辞和非言语交际线索中的情景语境和文化成分考虑,对《与小姨同游》翻译实践中的例子加以分析,探究在关联理论的直接翻译策略指导下,如何把握交际线索,再现小说风格,实现交际意图。同时在理论与实践结合分析中,加深对关联翻译理论的认识和理解,并总结出了保留符号、逻辑一致、重现和转换等翻译方法,使译文与原文的交际线索达到最佳关联,最终实现成功的交际。也希望此报告能为小说翻译实践提供一些借鉴和参考。
[Abstract]:This translation report is based on the translation practice of chapters 10-14 of the novel "traveling with Auntie" by Graham Green (Henry Graham Greene,1904-1991, a famous British novelist. From the perspective of relevance, this paper studies and writes a practical report on the translation of novels into Chinese. "traveling with Auntie" is one of Green's representative works and has some translation value, but there is no Chinese translation yet. In theory, the author chooses relevance theory. Relevance theory analyzes what and how to communicate in the process of verbal communication from a cognitive point of view. Translation is a complex and explicit-inferential process. It puts forward that the core of communication is to find the best relevance and realize the communicative intention. In addition, relevance translation theory also puts forward the concepts of direct translation and indirect translation. Relevance theory is of great significance to translation studies and practice. The author carries out literary translation practice from the perspective of relevance theory and finds that the communicative cues reproduction and style reproduction proposed by relevance theory are similar to each other to a certain extent, both of which can explain the characteristics of novel translation. Due to the differences between Chinese and English, how to reproduce the original style is a matter of concern. Therefore, from the perspective of relevance theory, the author explores how to reproduce these communication clues properly and reappear the original style, so as to ensure the realization of communication. From the perspective of context and cultural elements in phonological, semantic, syntactic, rhetorical and non-verbal cues of verbal communication, the author makes an analysis of the examples in the translation practice of "traveling with Auntie". Under the direct translation strategy of relevance theory, this paper explores how to grasp the communicative clues, reproduce the novel style and realize the communicative intention. At the same time, in the analysis of the combination of theory and practice, we deepen the understanding and understanding of relevance translation theory, and sum up some translation methods, such as retention of symbols, logical consistency, reproduction and transformation, so as to achieve the best relevance between the communicative cues between the translated text and the original text. Finally achieve successful communication. It is also hoped that this report can provide some references and references for the practice of novel translation.
