基于语料库从双性同体角度对译者风格的探究 ——以《简·爱》为例

传统观点认为,翻译活动是一种模仿活动,而非创造性活动;译者只是服务于源文,以再现源文的文本风格为目的。近几十年来学术界不断发展,人们对翻译这项活动的认识不断加深,译者风格逐步成为翻译研究的重点之一。译者风格(translator’s style)一般是指译者在翻译过程中留下的译者痕迹,即译本中除了作者之外的声音,具体来说可以是翻译策略的选择和翻译表达的偏好。以霍姆斯和图里等为代表的学者提倡用描写性翻译学的方法来研究译者风格;而语料库翻译研究方法的兴起令翻译研究逐步摆脱零星的、主观的研究模式,为全面客观评价译者风格提供了契机。双性同体这个概念由来已久,指的是不同性别气质存在在同一个体之中。随着女性权利意识的不断提高,女性主义翻译理论迅速发展。学者们开始探索如何利用性别因素更好地完成翻译。本论文研究的核心问题正是男性译者能否忠实再现女性作者作品中的女性风格和思想。《简爱》是女作家勃朗特的一部具有鲜明女性主义特色的作品。本文选取《简爱》女性译者黄淑仁译本和男性译者宋兆霖译本为研究对象。本研究通过建立原著与两译本平行语料库,大量实例对比,以及增加两位译者的背景与意识形态来对比分析黄译本和宋译本...
