新批评理论视角下《围城》意象英译研究

  新批评理论作为西方现代文学理论派别,于20世纪初产生于英国,后发展于美国,是一种关注文学文本的形式主义批评,认为文学的本体即作品,提倡文学批评应以作品为中心,并对作品进行充分而细致的内部研究。其具体内容表现为:在文本观上,坚持以文学作品为中心的作品本体论、有机整体论;在语义观上,重视语言的模糊与多义;在修辞观上,提出“张力”、“反讽”等术语,关注文学作品的语言结构和审美价值,充分肯定文学是独立的艺术世界。文学语言作为一种诗性的语言,旨在彰显存在的魅力,并让人有美的感受。文学翻译作为一种特殊的表达,首要任务是使源语被具有一定水平的读者所理解,这就需要译者深度探析原文本,从而将原文本中的非常规语言转化为跨语文化中具有较好接受性的符号信息而不失原文韵味。由此可见,探析原文本在文学翻译过程中占据重要地位,作为文论的“新批评”可伺机为文学翻译提供理论指导。钱钟书的《围城》作为一部贯通中西文化的有力之作,具有颇高的文学价值,体现了作者高超的语言文字驾驭能力与表达才能,将表现的内容材料释放出了内在的艺术美感。其中关于意象的描写俯拾皆是,一时一景,一情一境,作者都能将其转化为灌注着个人主观情思的意象,...
