《旋律之声》（第一、二章）英汉翻译实践报告

　　本翻译材料选自美国小说家凯琳?鲍威尔所著的《旋律之声》。这部小说从女主人公和她女儿角度讲述美国内战前一个小家庭的故事。突出了19世纪中叶捕鲸业鼎盛时期新英格兰南塔基特岛三代居民的生活。笔者选取小说的前两章作为本次翻译实践的材料。为了再现原文信息和写作风格,笔者在翻译中针对不同的问题采用了多种翻译方法:在词汇方面,笔者探讨了使用四字词语和词义拓展的方法选择和确定词义,还原原文语义;针对小说中的对话,笔者运用性格分析和环境分析的方法再现女主人公对于不同话语对象的不同讲话风格以及非裔美国人语言特征的语言特征;在篇章层面,笔者运用了标记关键词的方法还原原作的情感表达。为了再现小说自身平实的语言美所带来的艺术效果,作者改变语序和视角,增加标点符号。通过该小说的翻译实践,笔者深刻体会到了文学翻译的困难和重要性,加深了对现代小说翻译中的一些具体问题的认识和理解。笔者希望本次翻译实践能够为自己和他人日后所从事的其他文学翻译实践及相关研究提供一定的借鉴意义。
